Heaven On Earth 2

Many want to go to Heaven but do not know what Heaven is like. Heaven is all about God. It is all about being with Him. That is what will make Heaven Heavenly. It is strange that people who want nothing to do with God in this life think they will want to be with Him forever. They do not know that Heaven is all about a God whose company they reject. For them being in the presence of God would be like being in the presence of an enemy. Their idea of Heaven does not include being with God always. They imagine a heaven that does not exist. They are bored with God here and now and they would be bored with Him in Heaven. They seem to believe that they can take God or leave Him. A place without God would not be Heaven, it would be Hell.

Individuals who do not know the truth about Heaven need to become new creatures in Christ who desire to spend time with Him here and now. If they never desire to be with Him in this life, they will never be with Him. He will be their judge rather than their Savior. After He judges them, they will rather have His presence, but it will be too late.

People who do not want to be with God in this life will get what they want in the next . . . they will not be with Him. And then they won*t want that. People who want to be with God in this life will also get what they want . . . they will be with Him and they will love it.

The Father wants us to be with Him so much that He sent Jesus to die and be separated from Him in our place so that we can be with Him.

Romans 6:23a: For the wages of sin is death; . . .

The wages of sin is separation from God. If we desire His company, we will receive Him into our hearts and lives and He will receive us into Heaven.

John 14:23: In my Father*s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Since Heaven is all about God and that is what will make it Heavenly, we should want our lives to be all about God too. We should want the God of Heaven to be the God of our lives. When our lives are all about God we are blessed. When our lives are all about God they are full. When our lives are about something else they are empty. Individuals who are not blessed by worshipping God in this life would not enjoy Heaven where there will be nothing going on but worshipping Him.

Unbelievers and even unwise Christians don*t want to be with the people of God. They foolishly avoid churches and the people of God. Heaven will be populated with ONLY the people of God. Associating with Christians makes life on earth a little more heavenly. Associating with unbelievers makes life on earth more like Hell. We should try to draw unbelievers and carnal Christians to the Lord and we should not let them draw us away from Him.
